We are in the studio(Origami studios) for the past week. It is so exciting hearing the songs almost finished.
Anton Hagop is our producer and has worked wonders with us.
I filmed a little documentary for youtube. Day 1 &2 are up now. You can hear snippets of songs and get an insight to how an ARIA award winning enigeer works.

SCOUT TV is music show that is free to air on channel 31, called TVS.
It promotes up and coming bands in the Sydney scene.

Yolanda and the Stolen Boys performed "Perception of Deception" and "Oh yes".
One episode will air Monday 10th March 9pm and be repeated the next day at 11.30pm and then Sunday 16th at 4.30pm.

The next episode will air Monday 24th March 9pm and be repeated the next day at 11.30pm and then Sunday 30th at 4.30pm.

One show will also include an interview with Yolanda.

Ha! now we got your attention. Yolanda did 2 vocal sessions for Australia's Next Top Model last week. Not sure what episode it will be on.
Listen for something like "you think you got it?..." and some Bonjovi sounding song. Great tracks from Blarter music.

Yolanda appeared on the front cover of MX magazine.
Massive Sydney distribution. Great press.

It was to help promote the Rolling Stones shows by CCENTERTAINMENT that she was a part of.
Yolanda was MC for the nights and also sang a few songs. Gigs included Basement and Sydney Olympic Park with a 6,000 strong crowd.
Other performers at Olympic park included : Jack Jones, Mark Gable (Quior boys), Simon Meli (Ooh la la).

Just got off the phone to Sony/BMG they have a new show on channel 9 every Saturday 10.30am.
The best thing about this show is once a week it shows a snippet of live footage of an up and coming Independant act.

I am now off to the launch of the book i am in 'Women of the World' (see below). I guess you could say it has been a great day. ;-)

how exciting!
A photographer Alexia Sinclair approached me to be a part of this project. Camilla is an Australian designer and she put the book together.
Each photographer got to pick 6 women who inspire her and I am one of them. Woo hoo!
Alexia also shot the front cover of Camilla for this book of INSPIRATIONAL AUSTRALIAN WOMEN. Most are celebrities. We get a page each for our photo and our motto on life.
Released through David Jones Nationwide April 4th. Profits go to UNIFEM world wide.

Just had the best gig on the weekend. Met some great locals from a small country town in W.A Australia. SOld some cds signed some autographs and met some great people ( see photos)

Yolanda was recently asked by MTV to choreograph and appear in a show "getting to know the bachelors" where she choreographed 4 Cleo Bachelor's of the year nominees.

MTV producers were surprised when after only 2hours the boys, who had never had a dance lesson before in their life were dancing confidently to a routine Yolanda had put together.

MAZ from MTV had requested to make the boys feel as awkward as possible to see how they handled the situation. They were actually really focused and got a lot achieved in a short time.

Last night 14th May i was on ROAD TO ROCKSTAR hosted by Lowie (Lowies HOT30 from 2DAY fm)

They showed me singing my original song "lock up your sons" and Molly Meldrum and Michael Browning (ACDC's ex manager)said that the song could be a commercial hit!

It showed my interview with Lowie (ok busted , so i flirted).

Next saturday (20th may)FOX 8 at 6.30pm- I will be featured again as it shows the Australian callbacks, which will also feature my amazing friend Andre.(apparently they hugged him after his audition!) Also watch out for Cavan who i did X FACTOR with.

So exciting.................

oK so today i had to be up at 6am! So after 1 hrs sleep i turn up at radio station 96.1 (hip hop station). The project I am involved with - SPADEZ AND THA DECK have released a song called THE POVERTY CYCLE and its getting a lot of media attention. It is released to raise money for a refuge for street kids in Blacktown to stay open. They interviewed us and played the song.

Meanwhile STATEWIDE were filming it for their documentary on the charity cause. They then followed us to this HUGE STUDIO at Foxstudios where we had to put down some extra vocals for the track to be re- released. It all has happened pretty quickly. To be shown on STATEWIDE ABC at 7.30pm this friday 19th May.
